5 - 6-Year-Olds:

3 PM - 4 PM

Creative writing program that supplements kids' education at school by allowing them to create their own fantasy or adventure storybooks.

Children at this age have an unlimited supply of imagination and ideas. They just may not know how to express what they’re thinking in writing. During the program, our staff will work with students on the following areas:

•Creative Thinking
•Writing Exercises
•Self-Expression Activities
•Simple Story Structure
•Grammar

Our goal is to extend their skills on what they are learning at school, such as expanding on sentences with descriptions. We also explain that there are no ‘rules’ when it comes to creative writing. We explore creative thinking via writing prompts. The writing will be complemented with time at our character and publishing studios, where kids can create characters and illustrations to help bring their story to life. Whether they currently enjoy writing or not, they will enjoy creative writing at the end of our program. Our goal is to show young children just how much fun creative thinking can be if they let their imaginations soar.

Requirements for age group:
Child should be in Kindergarten or above.
Child can write basic sentences by sounding out words.

7 - 9-Year-Olds:

3 PM - 4:15 PM

To encourage creativity and cognitive thinking, our instructor will spend time with your kids to explore creative and the foundation for fictional writing. The writing workshops will be complemented with time at our character and publishing studios, where kids can create characters and illustrations to help bring their story to life. Whether they currently enjoy writing or not, they will enjoy writing stories at the end of our program. Our goal is to show children just how much fun creative thinking can be if they let their imaginations soar.
